kids rocket fishing rod
Fishing was originally known as angling and was primarily a source of gathering food similar to the concept of hunting. In accordance with developments, fishing was also converted into a sport. Basically, fishing or angling can be defined as the act of catching fish in either fresh or saltwater using a pole, casting line as well as a hook. During the past four or five decades, technical progress has allowed the development of various types of fishing poles such as fly, spinning and rocket fishing rods. Each rod is used for fishing under different conditions.
Historically, fishing was considered a sport in many cultures. Egyptians practiced the art of angling during 2000 BC. On the other hand, the Chinese during 4th century BC also considered fishing as a source of food. However, they used considerably different equipment such as silk in the place of a casting line, a needle to replicate the hook as well as a bamboo pole. The bait that they used was cooked rice. Similarly, various other cultures have also made references to fishing such as the Greeks, Assyrians, Jews and the Romans. What is apparent is that ultimately every culture has capture fish for either sport or as a food source but have used different equipment in line with the norms of their cultures.
Initially, smaller pointed objects were used in place of hooks. But after metal was discovered, the hook was one of the first tools that were developed. On the other hand, fishing also did not start of straight away from the use of a rod. At first, people would use a reel which was basically a wooden coil with a metallic ring that was placed upon the fisherman’s thumb. However, in 1770 a rod was developed with the reel fitted along the length of the pole. This primarily allowed a far greater range in terms of distance.
In general, the oldest types of bait used for goading fishes towards the hook were worms, smaller fish, bread paste, maggots and cheese. The bait or food for the fish was usually impaled upon the hook.
This crude technology was re-developed continuously over the years and presently we have the option of fishing using different rods for singularly different fishes. One of the most interesting developments is the creation of the rocket fishing rod which is primarily designed to teach children how to fish. Historically, children were taught using the same traditional fishing pole which had the potential of resulting in accidents. However, since the design of the rocket fishing rod facilitates use by children thereby getting rid of such issues like tangled cast lines and hook related accidents.

Were you aware of the fact that the moon has a huge impact on fishing? I used to find this hard to believe, but it’s true. And you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand how the moon and fishing fit together. As a matter of fact, by spending about a half an hour educating yourself can pay huge dividends in not only the amount of fish that you catch, but also the size of those fish. All because of the moon, who would have thought?
Have you ever had one of those days fishing where it seemed like you could do no wrong? Like everything you tried resulted in fish being caught? And not only fish being caught, but large fish being caught? This was all probably due to the moon and what phase the moon was in. That’s right, something as simple as what phase the moon is in can have an effect on your fishing success.
The moon and fishing are forever tied together and you can learn what you need to know with nothing more than a little research. That’s right folks, it won’t cost you one red cent to learn the information that you need to know about the moon and fishing. All you have to do is invest a little bit of time and you’ll be good to go. There’s no need to take the equivalent of a college course on this subject, just a little time will do.
It seems to me that many people will have you believe that the moon and fishing are complicated. This perplexes me, because the subjects don’t have to be. As I’ve said you can learn what you need to know in about a half an hour by getting a FREE e-book such as this. Many times the people making these subjects seem so confusing are simply trying to sell you something.
The bottom line is that the moon and fishing are inexorably linked, and it will serve you well to educate yourself as to how it all works. Just understanding the phases of the moon and which are better for fishing than others is of huge importance. As a matter of fact this free e-book will teach you what you need to know, and again it won’t cost you anything. It’s all free! What could be a better deal than that? I would also suggest that you never forget what the reverend McLain said in the movie A River Runs Through It, “Anyone who does not know how to catch a fish shouldn’t be able to disgrace that fish by catching it.” To that I say, Amen reverend, Amen!
